We can compose e-mail messages cautiously and slowly, making sure that we choose our words with care and we can read and re-read them just as carefully before responding. In these ways, sending an e-mail message is just like sending a letter but even easier because we can use much less formal language and we don't have to buy a stamp or leave the house to post it. However, unlike old- fashioned letters, e-mail messages are usually delivered virtually instantly, just like using the telephone.
Email also have advantages over the use of telephones as well. When you send an email there is no need you check your watch to make sure it's a suitable time of day, no need to make small take to apologise for (5) disturbed people and no need to repond immadiately to awkward question. The best of both worlds !

SAVING THE ENVIRONMENT: ONE HOME AT A TIME Pollution can be seen not only throughout the world, but also in our own homes. It comes from household chemicals, the amount of water people use and the waste people produce and throw away. What can be done to stop this pollution? Surprisingly, a person can help save the environment by doing simple things. First, we need to recycle, which allows products to be used over and over again. Recycling can also reduce the number of trees cut down to produce paper products. It takes very little effort. It is not hard to place plastic and glass bottles, aluminum cans and paper in a bin. Anyone can do it. Second, we need to watch the amount of water used in the home. It can be conserved by taking short showers instead of baths, repairing leaky faucets, using the dishwasher or washing machine only when fully loaded, or simply turning the faucet off while brushing your teeth. Third, we need to reduce waste. We need to recycle whenever possible, but should also try to use this waste effectively. For example, grass clippings and food scraps can be made into compost for plants. The average person produces 4.3 pounds of waste every day, but we can reduce that amount by recycling and reusing. If we do our part in our own homes, we can help keep the planet from becoming more polluted. Question 36: Pollution can be caused from the following sources EXCEPT______. A. water in rivers B. water from households C. wastes D. household chemicals Question 37: Recycling can help us ______. A. never cut down trees B. use products again and again C. place garbage bins easily D. produce more paper products Question 38: In order to save water, we can do all of the following things EXCEPT______. A. take short showers instead of baths B. repair leaky faucets C. fully use the washing machine D. turn the faucet off while brushing your teeth Question 39: Recycling helps to reduce waste because______. A. plants need to develop B. a person can do it in his home C. waste can be recycled and reused D. an average man produces compost for plants Question 40: The word "It" in paragraph 2 refers to ______. Hi everyone, my name is An and i came from class 8c. Today I will talk about the

gadgets of the internet today

The Internet is growing and becoming a part of everyday life. No one can deny the benefits that the internet brings. I agree that the Internet is the most useful media today.

First, the Internet is a very useful tool

. We can get information on every aspect very quickly and conveniently. We can read e-books or check weather conditions. Through the internet, we can look at the prices of certain consumer goods.

Second, the Internet is a source of entertainment. We can watch a movie, listen to recent music albums, play games, read novels, ....

Finally, the Internet is an educational medium. We can learn foreign languages, look up information. We can attend online courses. Internet is almost an unlimited educational resource for you to get.

Today, the Internet is a highly effective tool for communication, information gathering and collaboration among remote locations. Millions of people around the world are using the Internet to communicate, share information, create new associations, and so on.

The downside is that the Internet can be addictive. Some people can not live without it. They have no real friends and when the Internet is down, they are angry.

Internet has some rivals but more and more people handle the Internet like phone, or radio. They use it to have fun and work, and I think living now without internet would be quite difficult.

But try to use the internet effectively.

I would like to end here, I hope everyone comments and comments to my rhetoric today is more perfect

Find 7 mistakes in the paragraph and correct them:

Alternative sources of energy

In the " Search for Free Energy", Tutt's recently released book, he quotes " We ought to be able to obtain the energy we need without the consumption of material." These are not the words of some modern-day environmentalist, but of Nikola Tesla, in 1890. Among his invention was the device to generate electricity by harnessing "coming energy". The search for free, and expensive energy continues. Researchers are looking for "fuelless" technologies that will not pollute or run out, and they are not referring to the puny contribution of solar or wind power. The science establishment has so far been proven correct, there's no such thing as a free energy lunch but that hasn't stopped mad scientists trying. They've come up with numerable patents of "over unity" contraptions, supposed giving out more energy than you put in to get them going. The story is fascinating and rarely heavy-going, although the quotes can be overlong and the diagrams are adequately displayed. Tutt admits that only a fraction of what is claimed is true. But it's also true to say we cannot afford to dismiss them out of hand, as one of these conforming investigators may just be able to save our planet from climate change.
