At school age, everyone has a sense of humor, of course. But with my first day in high school ... the most memorable day. Joy, pride, timidity and confusion intertwined in me with beautiful impressions.

The night before, most people are not sad because of anxiety, looking forward to school but I am different, I sleep very well. After preparing the necessary things, I went to bed with beautiful dreams.

Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked, offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sticks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.

All of the special holidays in my country, I like Tet the most. Tet is an occasion to everyone get together in warm atmosphere. Before Tet holiday, Everyone prepares many things and decorates their house. I plant a lot of flowers in front of my house and buy many things such as clothes, foods ...Besides, most of the streets also are decorated beautifully with colorful lights and flowers. During Tet, I spends more time on visiting my relatives, friends and colleagues. Especially, I give to each other the best wishes for the new year. Tet is an opportunity for children receive lucky money. There is a funny thing that people try to avoid argument or saying any bad things at Tet. I love Tet holiday!

I play a lot of different sports such as soccer, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, … but my favorite sport is soccer. This is a popular sport but still attracts players. I played soccer from a very young age. When I was a boy, I used to play soccer with my friends on the sand court near my home with our own goal. Now I often play soccer on artificial turf fields. To play soccer you need to have good physical strength. To play this sport you need two teams. We will try to get the ball into the opponent’s goal. Which team scores more than that team wins. We usually play soccer every Thursday. I play as a striker. Playing soccer helps me feel better mentally. Although we were very tired, we were all very happy. I dreamed of becoming a player for the national team. If you are a guy and you have never played soccer before, it is a pity. Let’s try this useful sport to experience what it has to offer!

Vietnamese cooking is fresh, flavourful and usually superb, as the profusion of Vietnamese restaurants in New York, London and Berlin attests. Within the country, there’s a plethora of regional variations. And as in all parts of the region, rice or noodles usually form the initial basis of a meal.
Not surprisingly, fish is plentiful. There’s a reliance on fresh herbs and vegetables, as well as the gloriously pungent presence of shrimp paste and fermented fish sauce. Vietnamese cuisine is generally considered healthy.
Specialities:Pho: An omnipresent noodle soup, usually with meat.
Nem: Spring rolls with pork, noodles, eggs and mushrooms wrapped in rice paper, sometimes fried and served hot.
Banh chung: Sticky rice wrapped in large leaves and cooked for up to 48 hours, to be eaten cold at any time.
Nuoc mam: Fermented fish sauce, widely used.
Bun cha: Grilled pork with cold rice noodles and a big bowl of salad leaves.
Banh bao: A steamed dumpling typically stuffed with onions, pork and other ingredients.
Com hen: Rice served with clams. Popular in Hue.
Lau: Vietnamese hot pot.
Bia hoi: Fresh beer produced daily and served cold in small, local bars. It is not particularly alcoholic but very refreshing.
Coffee: Vietnam is the world’s second largest producer of coffee and the local brew is usually served with condensed milk.

My favorite school is a beautiful school. It is a big and large school. The school has many trees and there has enough stadiums and sporting yards for students to play. The thing I expect the most, that is a great learning school with many modern equipments. One more thing, the students of the school are friendly and helpful and the teachers are good too. That's all of the school in my dream.

Huong Pagoda, also known as Perfume Pagoda, is located in Huong Son, Ha Noi. Tet is the biggest traditional festival in Vietnam. This is an opportunity for people to enjoy a happy and relaxing period of time with their family and friends. There are some differences between Tet in the North and the South of Vietnam. In the North, the traditional food of Tet is Chung cake - a rectangular sticky rice cake with meat, which is wrapped in phrynium. People usually buy the cakes with some cherry blossom branches as a symbol of Tet to decorate their houses. In the South, people consider apricots and Tet cakes are the symbols of Tet. Tet cake is also made from sticky rice, and the inside can be sweet beans, bananas, or even meat. On New Year’s Eve, most families gather together to have a warm dinner and a traditional ritual in order to commemorate our ancestors. On the first day of New Year, youngsters will give their best greetings to oldsters and receive lucky money. In the rest time of Tet, people can go to pagodas to pray for good things, peace, and health. Tet is an important occasion for families and friends to be together after a year of hard work, and it can motivate people to try harder in the next year.
