JK, how are you now? I'm very happy because of the letter you sent me last week. Do you have any plan for this summer? If you are free, let's visit my hometown. Da Nang is very beautiful and interesting. It is famous for many delicious food and many entertainment centres. I think you will like this. In the morning, I will take you to some attractive places in Da Nang such as Ngu Hanh Son, Son Tra Peninsula, Ba Na Mountain,... because your hobby is taking pictures about scenery. Do you know? The scenery in Da Nang city is really wonderful. After that, I will take you to some well-known restaurants to eat. You should try the food here because it is so tasty. You can choose the restaurant you like. In the afternoon, we will go to the cinema to see your favourite film. We can also go to the entertainment centre to go shopping, playing games, etc,... Especially, in the evening, we will see firework at Han River Bridge and eat something. Beside that, if you want, I will take you to the park to play. In the modern life, there is an increase in the people leave the countryside and migrate to the city. The objective reason is that in the city, it brings them comfortable life and favorite job. Subjective causes are due to the following disadvantages rural areas bring about push residents away. To begin with, there is no denial that rural infrastructure is not modern and advanced. Roads are quite narrow and degraded. Schools, hospitals are not cared much and remodeled. Especially the quality teachers and doctors here are just little so the inhabitants have less opportunity to develop in all way than in the urban area. Last but not least, the biggest disadvantage in rural areas is that job opportunities are so race. The main job is craft, farming, which bring a relatively small income. With that salary, we can only live through the day, not afford for services, shopping, entertainment… In conclusion, besides the positive aspects, life in the countryside is very much. disadvantage. We all need to consider carefully before choosing where to live.

I am glad and excited as I knew that you want to visit some Asian countries in your upcoming holiday period. I humbly request you and your family to visit my country Nepal.
As you probably know, Nepal is small landlocked yet naturally beautiful country which is abode of the highest peak in the Earth, Mt. Everest, including other seven highest mountains. As spring season has just started, it is best time to capture glimpse of its natural amenities. I am telling you, you should not forget to visit Patan Durbar Square, which makes you spellbound at its historic and artistic hand made sculpture, statue and temples. Moreover, capital city Kathmandu is best known as City of Temples in the world with many famous world heritage sites such as Pashupatinath and Swoyambhunath. Last but not the least, in any attempt you should enjoy Sauraha Jungle Safari with exciting and memorable Elephant Polo.
Climate nowadays is ostensibly fairly good so if possible try to bring loose garments. But if you wish to go for trekking and climb mountains bring thick wind proof warm clothes with high rise sole shoes. Furthermore, if you are sick of high altitudes and low pressure bring doctor prescribed medicines as well. A big map of Nepal will be helpful for guiding you without rambling.

Topic 2: write a letter to your friends about your party last weekend
Dear John,
I'm very happy when I received your letter. I'm writing this letter to tell you about the party I went last week. That was my best friend birthday party.
Huong is my close friend. She turned 25 recently and her parents held a birthday party for her. I was one of those invited. The party began at about three in the afternoon. There were about twenty guests gathered in her house. We were all dressed in our best clothes. Everyone, especially Huong was very happy. We gave our presents to her and she happily opened them. It must really be exciting to receive all those presents. After that her mother served us soft drinks and delicious titbits. We then played some games like "Musical Chairs" and "Treasure Hunt". The winners were given prizes. At about four-thirty her father brought out the birthday cake. It was beautifully decorated with pink and white ice cream. 25 colorful candles sat in the middle of the cake. We all sang "Happy Birthday" to Huong after which she blew out the candles and cut the cake. Everyone clapped out hands eagerly. We helped ourselves to slices of the delicious cake. Then we continued our games.
Finally at about six in the evening the party came to an end. We were all tired but happy. I helped Huong and her parent clean up the mess we made. After that I walked home with a very good feeling .

Topic 3: you have just moved to a new house. Write a letter to your friend about your new house.
Dear Helen,
I’m just writing to let you know that I shifted to a new house two weeks ago.
I had been awaiting promotion for a long time and now I have been promoted as a branch manager in the newly opened branch of my company. The new office is a long way away from the house where I lived before. The long commute made me very tired and so I decided to move to a new place.
I’m now living in a fully furnished brand new house. It has a large living room, a modular kitchen, two cosy bedrooms and especially a spacious parking area. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden, which I love the most. The balcony is very attractive and it is the place where I relax after a long busy day. The rent is quite high; nevertheless, I am comfortable living here because of the easy access to office and other amenities.
So, when are we going to meet up? If you have time next weekend please come with your family. We will have lunch and spend some quality time together. You can also take a look at my new house.

I know your country is very far from mine - Vietnam. But if you have a chance, I want to come and visit it - a very beautiful country.
I will show you my village first, its name is Sky Garden. Listening to the name can make you know what there is in my village. Each house in Sky Garden has an own garden, it's probably a banana garden, an apple garden, a flower garden and so on. My village also has a paddy field, it seems be a very huge yellow rug. And if you feel hot, you can go with me to the Red River and enjoy the cool winds.
