Emperor Ly Thanh Tong founded The Temple of Literature in 1070. Now it is considered as one of the historic and cultural sites of Vietnam. And then in 1076 Emperor Ly Nhan Tong built The Imperial Academy as the first university of Vietnam.In 1484, Emperor Le Thanh Tong built the first Doctor’s stone tablet there to memorize the devotion of Doctors. Now it is recognized as the World heritage by UNESCO. In 2003, the Ha Noi People Committee built four statues of Emperor Ly Thanh Tong, Emperor Ly Nhan Tong, King Le Thanh Tong, and Chu Van An who founded and developed Temple of Literature – Imperial Academy.

Van Mieu (The Temple of Literature) was constructed in 1070 during Ly Thanh Tong's dynasty. Its original purpose was to honor Confucius. In 1076, the first university of Vietnam called Quoc Tu Giam (The Imperial Academy), was established within this temple by Emperor Ly Nhan Tong. That's the reason why the complex has the name of Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam up to now. Initially, Quoc Tu Giam was the school for princes and children of royal families and then expanded in the following year to admit top students from around the country. Nowadays, Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam is one of the most famous tourist destinations for both Vietnamese people and foreigners. It's also a place to celebrate doctorates and high ranking scholars of Vietnam. One special thing about this place is that there are 82 Doctors' stone tablets. They are tombstones with names and origins of 1304 doctors placed on the backs of stone tortoises. If you come here at the beginning of the year or in May, when many important examinations take place, you will catch sights of numerous families and students who come and pray for luck

Hi everybody! I am Le, I live with my family, my husband and 2 children. We live in a small house in the center of Hanoi. My house is small but it is very beautiful. There are 3 floors in the house and it has 3 bed rooms, one kitchen and living room together, others is bed rooms. It is not a fantas house but comfortable. In my bedroom, we has bed, wardrobe, a piano, desk and computer, TV, CD payer…. The living room is small but it is very nice and the kitchen is very convenient. In bed room of my children, there is bed, desk and or wardrobe. In fact, it has very litter of decorating things pictures or painting. I prefer the comfortable than the fabilous. My house also has a small garden with some trees and flowers that my husband is planted. My house isn’t large but it very beautiful, and I love this house so much. My husband and I had try so much to get it and the most important thing it is the place where all members of my family share the happiness and sadness and hurts together.

Nó không phải là một ngôi nhà tuyệt vời nhưng là một ngôi nhà thoải mái. Trong phòng ngủ của tôi, chúng tôi có giường, tủ quần áo, một chiếc piano, bàn và máy tính, TV, đầu CD …. Phòng khách khá là nhỏ nhưng nó là rất tốt đẹp và nhà bếp thì rất thuận tiện. Trong phòng ngủ của các con tôi, có giường, bàn và tủ quần áo. Thực tế thì, phòng của các cháu có rất nhiều đồ trang trí những hình ảnh hoặc vẽ tranh. Tôi thích sự thoải mái hơn sang trọng. Nhà tôi cũng có một khu vườn nhỏ với một số cây và hoa mà chồng tôi đã trồng từ rất lâu. Nhà của tôi là không lớn nhưng nó rất đẹp, và tôi thích ngôi nhà này rất nhiều. Chồng tôi và tôi đã cố gắng rất nhiều để mua được nó và điều quan trọng nhất đó là nơi mà tất cả các thành viên của đình tôi chia sẻ hạnh phúc và nỗi buồn cũng như sự đau khổ với nhau.

My name is Hoang. I'm 11 years old. I live in Lao Cai city. I study in Nam Cuong school and I'm grade 6. My favorite subject is English, Art, Music. I'm an easy-going person so I have many friends and other social relationships. I'm confident, funny, amused, I'm also a bit shy. My hobbies are playing the piano, listen to music, drawing cartoons (anime), reading comic or novel,.... I also hanging out with my friends. We often go to the coffee shop, supermarket or cinema. My best friend in high school is Lan. Lan sits next to me in class, eats with me at break time, and hangs out with me after school. She has long and beautiful hair; my mother always says that I need to pay more attention to my hair so it can be pretty as hers. I am good at English while Lan is excellent in Math, therefore we can help each other every time one of us has trouble in understanding those subjects. Besides our study, Lan is always by my side whenever I feel upset. I tell her everything, and only she can know my true feelings. We have been best friends since our young age, and I will keep this friendship forever.

I study in Hung Dao School which is one of the best schools of QuanG Ninh. It has a stone building. It has all facilities a good school should have-well furnished classrooms, laboratories, library and playground.
As we enter the school, there is a playground to our left and a small garden to our right. When we enter the building, the Principal’s room and the office room are to the left and the staff room to the right side. These are well furnished. There are thirty four classrooms. Our labs are well equipped. Our library has books almost on all subjects. Our Librarian is also very helpful.
Our school, all schools, has a prescribed uniform. We have to wear white or cream cotton shirts, light-blue trousers, black shoes and white socks. Girls have to wear white blouses and light-blue skirts in primary and middle classes and white shirts and light-grey skirts in higher classes. They have to tie white ribbon also.
In our school special attention is paid to behavior, cleanliness and punctuality. The most well behaved, neat and punctual student is awarded a prize at the Annual Day function.
Our Principle is a strict disciplinarian. He takes the help of P. T. Teachers too. If any one violates the rules, and is not in uniform, or makes mischief, he gets punished. But he is fair and loving. He tries to find out the reason and guides us.
Our teachers are also quite strict. They teach us with great care, check our note-books, help us when we need but if we are inattentive and don’t work properly, then we are punished.
I my school very much and I am proud that I belong to it. I shall never forget it.

It is a 2 storied building of u shape with capacity of 1000 people and it was invested heavily in infrastructures with well- equipped classrooms. Besides modern facilities, this school is also well- known for enthusias and qualified teachers who are always dedicated and devoted themselves to teaching career. In conclusion, studied in this school for four years, it has become an indispensable part in my life.

My primary school is a paradise with fresh air, picturesque surroundings and beloved people around. It is situated in the countryside among far-flung green fields. I and Hung are team mates in our school’s soccer team, and that is the reason we became best friends. At first we did not know each other, but we quickly became close after just a few weeks. Hung is a good player, so he always helps me prace to improve my skills. In order to thank him, I become his instructor in some of the subjects in class. I am as tall and slim as Hung, and many people say that we look brothers. In fact, we are even closer than brothers. We can share almost everything, from feelings to clothes and hobbies. I always proud of our friend ship, and we will keep it this as long as we can.

Hue is a city which is filled mostly by trees, so the weather here is very cool, fresh and quiet. However, the city is not less busy and crowded than others. Each year, the city celebrates the fantastic festival to introduce the Vietnamese traditional food, flowers, trees, kite flying and Vietnamese traditional costumes. Throughout the city, the ancient tombs, temples and gardens of age with a few hundred years old are still preserved. Hue has several tourist attractions which are very peaceful and ancient. Among these is Hue Citadel which was recognized is World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Hue Citadel is one of the place where attract the most tourists every year. Besides, there are many ancient pagodas, temples... that is also known by many tourist tourists around the world. In summary, Hue is a city that has something to offer everyone. And here is certainly worth visiting and surely that Hue is one of the most ideal place to spend a holiday.
