The shopping center that I often go to and would like to talk about is ABC. This is the largest shopping center of the city and is probably the most popular one. This shopping center is at the middle of the city and is 20 storied. You can find almost everything in this shopping center and the price and quality of the products make it a popular shopping mall where people from all classes come to shop. You name it and you can find it here; from grocery shop to 3d cinema, food court to play ground, gym and thousands of shopping shops are there. The market authority imposes a strict rule about the quality and price and that's why you can find products at a reasonable price here. The neat and clean environment, the rigid security, the arranged shops and shopping convenience are the main reasons I visit this shopping mall very often. There is a dedicated floor only for social gathering and there you can sit and talk to your friends as long as you like.

I go there almost 2-3 times in a months. If there are more shopping to do or before any festival I go there more than 2-3 times. I go there not only for shopping but also some times for social gathering, party, to have lunch or dinner or to watch a movie.

There are many positive reasons why this shopping center is popular among the visitors and shoppers including security, reasonable price, shopping convenience, position of the shopping center, and convenience of parking, open space and neat environments. The interior and exterior of the shopping mall is very attractive. In the front of the building you will find a large open space; like a big park or garden. You can seat there for a long and no one is going to ask you to go away!

Dear Timmy:

You know, it’s funny, for as long as we’ve known each other, we’ve spent very little time actually around each other. But I really wanted to tell you how much the time we’ve spent together has meant to me, and I also wanted to say thank you.

We don’t really think about it much, but the words “thank you” can accomplish so much and can convey more than one could possibly imagine.

Thank you for being one of the first people to be nice to me in elementary school. I think you saw the fear in my eyes when I showed up at a new school where most of you had kind of grown up around each other. You hung out with me on the playground and would always invite me to play games with you at recess.

Thank you for always being the same back then, no matter what. I sadly hit my popular peak in fifth grade, and even though we were in the same class we didn’t talk so much. That was my fault and I’m sorry.

While I was feeling the joy of being popular, you were being labeled as troublemaker — and worse, a lost cause — by the very adults that were supposed to be guiding us, teaching us, nurturing us. No child should be made to feel that way.

3. As for me I spent a week in Turkey. I took the plane in Paris
and flew for three and a half hours to Izmir. There a woman
was waiting for us to drive us by bus to Kusadasi (pronounced
kouchadaseu). She is a French woman who married a Turkish
man five years ago. She is from Lievin, in the North of France.
She confessed that her husband followed her to France but
he didn't get used to the weather. It was a bit too wet and
too cold for him. So, they went back to Turkey. He then
became the manager of a hotel (not the one we went to) and
she started working for a holidays group at the hotel where
we went.
We arrived in the afternoon at the hotel which is based very
close to the sea. How wonderful it is to have meals almost on
the beach, listening to the waves and looking at the sun
downing in the evening. We could have a glass, then go to the
beach and as soon as we were thirsty come back to the bar
and have another glass before swimming a little. It was very
comfortable. I loved it.
Concerning the site, it was very beautiful. The beach was in
front of us and on the right side, we had a view on the
mountains. We even took a boat to some little beaches on the
edge of these mountains. The water was like a warm bath.
And you'd say, what about Turkish people? They are really
nice. They don't speak a lot of French, but if you can speak English, I assure you you can spend good time with them. I
had the feeling that they didn't know what to do to please us.
I have never met so nice people. I advise you to go there,
really, you'll come back with so many souvenirs in your minds.

                                                    I USED TO BE older…

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button certainly lives up to its title. It is a very unusual film about a man who lives his life backwards: he is born as an old man and dies as a baby.

The story begins in 1918 when a woman gives birth to a baby with the appearance of an elderly man. The mother dies and the father abandons the baby, who is called Benjamin. Two workers at a nursing home, Queenie and Tizzy, decide to look after Benjamin, who fits in with the elderly residents at the home because he looks so old. But as the years pass, Benjamin becomes physically younger.

At the age of twelve, he meets a young girl called Daisy and gets on with her very well despite having the appearance of an old man, but later they lose touch when Benjamin starts working a job on a boat.

Years later, he catches up with Daisy again in Paris. In their forties, they finally look the same age for the first time - and fall in love. They almost marry and settle down together, but they never go through with it. One reason is that Daisy could never put up with Benjamin's strange condition.

In the end, they run out of time: Daisy is becoming an old woman and Benjamin is becoming a child. He finally dies in Daisy's arms as a baby.

The unusual thing about the main character is his age. He is born as an old man and dies as a baby. His life is extremely different from others in the world.

(Điều bất thường về nhân vật chính là tuổi của anh ta. Anh ta được sinh ra như một ông già và chết như một đứa trẻ. Cuộc sống của anh ấy khác với những người khác trên thế giới.)

I usually eat sandwiches with a cup of milk every morning. A sandwich is very easy to cook. You just need to fry an egg, put some cheese and salad. Finally, you pour some milk into a cup. I think is a healthy breakfast and it has enough calories for you to start a new day. I like to eat sandwiches and drink a cup of milk for breakfast because sandwiches are easy to make and they are tasty too. Milks are convenient and they help you to grow taller.

Read the following passage and mark the letter A, B, C or D on your answer sheet to indicate the correct word or phrase that best fits each of the numbered blanks from 32 to 36.

Human beings have a strong need to put their experiences and difficulties into confrontations. That is why everyone (32)________ a ‘friendly ear’ – somebody who eager to listen to their dilemmas and joys. Nevertheless few individuals (33)________ how complicated listening skill is. To be a good listener needs great powers of concentration, which can only be grown through practice.

There are two reasons why listening is often such hard (34)________ . The first is merely that people much prefer to speak. How often have you missed what someone has said because you were thinking about what you were going to say in response? The second reason is that people speak too slowly. The typical speed is about 125 words per minute, (35)________ is not fast enough for the human brain. It allows too much time for the concentration to fail, as the brain tries to keep itself busy with others, unrelated thoughts.

Next time you are in a listening situation, try to guess what the utterer is going to say. Ask yourself questions about what is being said, and (36)________ if the speaker answers them. Finally, make quick sum-ups in your mind of the main points that have been made. All of these stuffs will help you focus on and make you a better listener.
