When we visit foreign countries, we see and learn all sorts of things that we can never see or learn at home, though we may read about them in books and study/learn, and see pictures of them at the cinema. The best way to their geography is to travel, and the best way to get to know and which the people in other countries is to meet them in newspapers own homes. Bill Prince-Smith was a farmer and a teacher and a dentist before he became a writer of children's books at age of 60. Now, thirteen years later, he has written more than 80 books.
