STORY OF WATER MELON

Mai An Tiem was an adopted son of 17th King Hung. He was talented and that was why he was highly considered by people and received many favors from the king. Once he said " Present means worry, gift means dept" and that provoked his father's anger. In spite of many pieces of advice from the whole court officials, there was an order that An Tiem and his family had to be deported to an isolated island in the far, far ocean without any belongings.
Fade came to those unlucky people. An Tiem's family was left in the island with nothing but a blunt sword, a clay pot and food that was only enough for them in five days. The wife sunk in sorrows and sobbed while the husband were releasing her and manly declared that they could make everything by their hands.
Life in remove place was so hard that both young and adult in the unfortunate family had to catch fish, oyster and also wild greens to remain life. Later the fruit was out of the season, fish in the sea could not be caught without net, bird was watchful over the trap. What they owned at this time was just some wild greens cultivated by the husband.
One early morning, An Tiem heard the sounds of birds in a distance then he just walked out to see the scene but the birds were frighten and flew high above in confusion and left a small piece of melon with bright red pulp and black tiny seeds. " It was absolutely good for birds. It must be the same for Man" he thought " Why don't I do something with those tiny seeds?" Its fresh and sweet taste seemed to make him believe that his decision was right. With a blunt sword he ploughed a small piece of land and sowed it with the seeds.
Time passed by; the man now was look happy and hopeful when travelling his eyes over the verdant and luxuriant plants sprawling on the sand. All people in the family looked for the coming day that their lianas bear fruit and the fruit got bigger and bigger... One morning the family was woke by the sounds of bird. An Tiem came out into the sand and found one of the melon was half-eaten and showing the bright red color of its pulp. He brought it home then and cut a small piece to each person in the family. The melon taste was so good that everyone liked it but the rest of it was only consumed at noon when they felt that what they had eaten in the morning was unharmful to them.
Thank to this kind of fruit, life in the island now was much better. Melon was cultivated, harvested season by season. Every time An Tiem himself also dropped some fruits with his name curved over their skin into the ocean for the desire of sharing the happiness and looking for a way to the mainland.
Later there were some merchants who got into the island and asked for exchanging tools as well as food for the kind of fruit they had picked up in the sea.
Hung king somewhat felt regretful that he had put his son a death until the day he was offered a melon and broken the news that An Tiem and his family weren't only alive but also cultivated a precious melon in the island. After that a favor was granted to bring An Tiem and his family back to the court as an honor to the country.
From that time on this kind of fruit - Watermelon - was commonly planted but it was said that those melons from Nga Son Island where An Tiem first cultivated it were the best ones.

I am a very close friend and indispensable to the students, thanks to me that students can study and do better. But I am just a thing, over time, I get old and worn out, no longer new, perhaps because of that you forgot me. I am a book.

I'm a Vietnamese textbook. in the learning process. And then I found my master, a very pretty little girl. I was very happy and excited because it was time for me to do my noble duties. I told myself to promote my abilities well, bring knowledge and useful things to my little mistress. When I was first bought, I was very fond of and carefully taken care of by my owner. Every day I go to school with my boss, my pages are a rich source of knowledge for her to study and learn. As time went by, during using, I gradually curved the edge, folded the edge and got old, sometimes even dirty because she dropped it. Then one day, a neighbor friend asked me to borrow me to do my homework, but the owner, because she was also doing her homework, did not want to lend me, the other friend deliberately grabbed me from the mistress's hand, so I torn in half.

Since that day, I was glued but crumpled and no longer new so the girl's mother bought her a new book. I was placed in the corner of the cupboard, I felt very sad and knew that I was really forgotten.

Hello everyone, I am the storybook "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". Today I will tell you about this story of mine

Once upon a time in a great castle, a Prince's daughter grew up happy and contented, in spite of a jealous stepmother. She was very pretty, with blue eyes and long black hair. Her skin was delicate and fair, and so she was called Snow White. Everyone was quite sure she would become very beautiful. Though her stepmother was a wicked woman, she too was very beautiful, and the magic mirror told her this every day, whenever she asked it.

"Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the loveliest lady in the land?" The reply was always; "You are, your Majesty," until the dreadful day when she heard it say, "Snow White is the loveliest in the land."

The stepmother was furious and, wild with jealousy, began plotting to get rid of her rival. Calling one of her trusty servants, she bribed him with a rich reward to take Snow White into the forest, far away from the Castle. Then, unseen, he was to put her to death. The greedy servant, attracted to the reward, agreed to do this deed, and he led the innocent little girl away. However, when they came to the fatal spot, the man's courage failed him and, leaving Snow White sitting beside a tree, he mumbled an excuse and ran off. Snow White was all alone in the forest.  Night came, but the servant did not return. Snow White, alone in the dark forest, began to cry bitterly. She thought she could feel terrible eyes spying on her, and she heard strange sounds and rustlings that made her heart thump. At last, overcome by tiredness, she fell asleep curled under a tree.  Snow White slept fitfully, wakening from time to time with a start and staring into the darkness round her. Several times, she thought she felt something, or somebody touch her as she slept.  At last, dawn woke the forest to the song of the birds, and Snow White too, awoke. A whole world was stirring to life and the little girl was glad to see how silly her fears had been. However, the thick trees were like a wall round her, and as she tried to find out where she was, she came upon a path. She walked along it, hopefully. On she walked till she came to a clearing. There stood a strange cottage, with a tiny door, tiny windows and a tiny chimney pot. Everything about the cottage was much tinier than it ought to be. Snow White pushed the door open.  "l wonder who lives here?" she said to herself, peeping round the kitchen. "What tiny plates! And spoons! There must be seven of them, the table's laid for seven people." Upstairs was a bedroom with seven neat little beds. Going back to the kitchen, Snow White had an idea.  "I'll make them something to eat. When they come home, they'll be glad to find a meal ready." Towards dusk, seven tiny men marched homewards singing. But when they opened the door, to their surprise they found a bowl of hot steaming soup on the table, and the whole house spick and span. Upstairs was Snow White, fast asleep on one of the beds. The chief dwarf prodded her gently.  "Who are you?" he asked. Snow White told them her sad story, and tears sprang to the dwarfs' eyes. Then one of them said, as he noisily blew his nose:  "Stay here with us!"

"Hooray! Hooray!" they cheered, dancing joyfully round the little girl. The dwarfs said to Snow White:  "You can live here and tend to the house while we're down the mine. Don't worry about your stepmother leaving you in the forest. We love you and we'll take care of you!" Snow White gratefully accepted their hospitality, and next morning the dwarfs set off for work. But they warned Snow White not to open the door to strangers.

Meanwhile, the servant had returned to the castle, with the heart of a roe deer. He gave it to the cruel stepmother, telling her it belonged to Snow White, so that he could claim the reward. Highly pleased, the stepmother turned again to the magic mirror. But her hopes were dashed, for the mirror replied: "The loveliest in the land is still Snow White, who lives in the seven dwarfs' cottage, down in the forest." The stepmother was beside herself with rage.

"She must die! She must die!" she screamed. Disguising herself as an old peasant woman, she put a poisoned apple with the others in her basket. Then, taking the quickest way into the forest, she crossed the swamp at the edge of the trees. She reached the bank unseen, just as Snow White stood waving goodbye to the seven dwarfs on their way to the mine.

Snow White was in the kitchen when she heard the sound at the door: KNOCK! KNOCK!  "Who's there?" she called suspiciously, remembering the dwarfs advice.  "I'm an old peasant woman selling apples," came the reply.  "I don't need any apples, thank you," she replied.  "But they are beautiful apples and ever so juicy!" said the velvety voice from outside the door.  "I'm not supposed to open the door to anyone," said the little girl, who was reluctant to disobey her friends.  "And quite right too! Good girl! If you promised not to open up to strangers, then of course you can't buy. You are a good girl indeed!" Then the old woman went on.  "And as a reward for being good, I'm going to make you a gift of one of my apples!" Without a further thought, Snow White opened the door just a tiny crack, to take the apple.  "There! Now isn't that a nice apple?" Snow White bit into the fruit, and as she did, fell to the ground in a faint: the effect of the terrible poison left her lifeless instantaneously.  Now chuckling evilly, the wicked stepmother hurried off. But as she ran back across the swamp, she tripped and fell into the quicksand. No one heard her cries for help, and she disappeared without a trace.      Meanwhile, the dwarfs came out of the mine to find the sky had grown dark and stormy. Loud thunder echoed through the valleys and streaks of lightning ripped the sky. Worried about Snow White they ran as quickly as they could down the mountain to the cottage.      There they found Snow White, lying still and lifeless, the poisoned apple by her side. They did their best to bring her around, but it was no use.      They wept and wept for a long time. Then they laid her on a bed of rose petals, carried her into the forest and put her in a crystal coffin.      Each day they laid a flower there.      Then one evening, they discovered a strange young man admiring Snow White's lovely face through the glass. After listening to the story, the Prince (for he was a prince!) made a suggestion.      "If you allow me to take her to the Castle, I'll call in famous doctors to waken her from this peculiar sleep. She's so lovely I'd love to kiss her!" He did, and as though by magic, the Prince's kiss broke the spell. To everyone's astonishment, Snow White opened her eyes. She had amazingly come back to life! Now in love, the Prince asked Snow White to marry him, and the dwarfs reluctantly had to say good bye to Snow White.      From that day on, Snow White lived happily in a great castle. But from time to time, she was drawn back to visit the little cottage down in the forest.

I have a memorable childhood which has many experiences. One of the experiences I remember most is the first time I was invited to a birthday party. I was a 6-year-old girl and I had a bestfriend whose name is Lisa. We were very close and seemed we couldn’t live without each other until her birhtday. It was a beautiful morning when Lisa invited me to her birthday party and had no idea about how great her party would be if she didn’t ask me to attend. I was very happy and decided to make my bestfriend surprise by giving her a puppy as a present. Lisa didn’t dog or any animal but I almost forgot about that. I was confident to give her my present in her birthday and immediately realized that she didn’t my little dog which I myself chose to buy 3 days ago. While the party was going on, I stood in a corner of the room and watched how much she loved other normal presents such as teddy bear, dolls or crayons. I felt dissapointed but that was not the worst thing. About 20 mintues later, Lisa’s father gave a sign that was the time to taking out a birthday cake. It was the biggest birthday cake I had ever seen. The light went off. As soon as it went on, somebody screamed “It’s a puppy in the cake”. Everyone was surprise and they recognized that was my puppy. They looked at the puppy and then looked at me. I glanced to Lisa. She said nothing and about to cried. I was very confused and ashamed. I carried my puppy, said sorry to Lisa and ran out of the party. I couldn’t believe that I had just broken my bestfriend’s birthday cake because of a silly decision. I learned that never bring any animal with me to a party, especially bestfriend’s birthday party. It’s an experience that I won’t forget for the rest of my life. Luckily Lisa forgave me and we are still friend up to now. She always reminded me about her 6th birthday and we laughed a lot.

I have read many fairy tales of the world but I am still impressed with Cinderella. Cinderella in the story is beautiful, gentle and very naive. She had a long time of suffering to find a perfect happiness.

Cinderella is so beautiful! The figure of her small, tall girl. The oval, delicate face stood out, the skin was white and pink and smooth. The black eyes, bright and shining beneath the natural curling eyelashes, increased the charm of the eyes. The long, curved willow eyebrows increase the natural look of those charming eyes. The coconut veral nose peaked beauty for her face. Soft, plump, shiny lips a thin lipsk. The white, steady teeth keep poking between the lips, hiding a beautiful beauty. Black hair, silky smooth hair across shoulders. Usually Cinderella only wore a ragged, patched patch to clean the house. The face of the Cinderella is so beautiful that she always gets smudged because she has to sweep the place where the house or at is dirty. Because of her lemongrass form, she was called Cinderella. Cinderella is very hardworking, always cleaning her feet. She is very cool or good. Cinderella has a very good streak: gentle, gentle, hardworking - the best qualities and qualities of women.

Cinderella's life has a long and arduous journey to find true happiness. To lead to that good result is a long story.

As a child, Cinderella lived very happily with her parents in a spacious, comfortable house. Suddenly, her mother became seriously ill and died. Her father took her next wife. The stepmother had two children of the same age as Cinderella. Her two children are thin, they are fat. After that, Cinderella's father suffered an accident so he also died. After his death, the stepmother forced her to serve and submit to her mother and daughter. The splendid sets, the beautiful shoes and the magnificent decorated room were too far away for Cinderella. The mother-in-law for Cinderella wore junk suits, patched boots and rough shoes. She forced her to work on her feet. Two of her own children only know how to play, lethargy, live the happy life that Cinderella should have. The cute Cinderella can only be in the dusty, dirty at, filled with rotten old goods and she has friends who are rats. Then one day, Hoang from the reception party invited the mother and her stepmother and even Cinderella. But she only bought and dressed herself and her two ugly children. She even forced Cinderella to pick up beans to fling her hands without going to a party. May have a fairy to help her, she had a gorgeous outfit, a beautiful car to attend the party. Cinderella danced with the prince after twelve hours - now she told her that if the miracle would not be gone. She hastily dropped the shoe to make the prince look everywhere. Finally, the prince found the owner of the shoe. The Prince found his fiancée - Cinderella and married her to be his wife. The lives of two people are very happy.

Cinderella is a girl who is na, gentle and very beautiful. With her pure soul and good qualities, she found her true happiness. Through the story, I understand that people who are good, gentle, gentle will be rewarded.

Turtle and rabbit are good friends. But then one day, the two argued who would run faster, then wanted to organize their race. The whistle sounded, the rabbit ran fast, the turtle left behind. After a while, the rabbit turned to look at the turtle and thought that the rabbit would win so it rested in the roadside bushes and slept well. The turtle run past it and run straight to the destination. When the rabbit waked up, it is late. Animals in the forest celebrate the turtles.

My died while I was a very little child, leaving me to the care of my mother and my step-sisters, who were very much older than myself; for my dad had been twice married, and my mother was his second wife. Now,my sisters and step-mother did not love me, and were very unkind to me. As I grew older they made me work as a servant, and even sift the cinders; on which account they used to call her in mockery “Cinderella.” It was not her real name, but she became afterwards so well known by it that her proper one has been forgotten.

I was considered to be a very sweet-tempered, good girl, however, and everybody (except her cruel sisters) loved her.

It happened, when I was about seventeen years old, that the King of that country gave a ball, to which all ladies of the land, and among the rest the young girl’s sisters, were invited. And they made her dress them for the ball, but never thought of allowing her to go there.

“I wish you would take me to the ball with you,” I said , meekly.

“Take you, indeed!” answered my elder sister, with a sneer; “it is no place for a cinder-sifter: stay at home and do your work.”

When they were gone, I, whose heart was very sad, sat down and cried bitterly; but as I sat sorrowful, thinking of the unkindness of my sisters, a voice called to me from the garden, and I went out to see who was there. It was my godmother, a good old Fairy.

“Do not cry, Cinderella,” she said; “you also shall go to the ball, because you are a kind, good girl. Bring me a large pumpkin.”

I obeyed, and the Fairy, touching it with her wand, turned it into a grand coach. Then she desired me to go to the trap, and bring her a rat. I obeyed, and a touch of the Fairy’s wand turned him into a very smart coachman. Two mice were turned into footmen; four grasshoppers into white horses. Next, the Fairy touched my rags, and they became rich satin robes, trimmed with point lace. Diamonds shone in my hair and on her neck and arms, and my kind godmother thought she had seldom seen so lovely a girl. my old shoes became a charming pair of glass slippers, which shone like diamonds.

“Now go to the ball, my love,” she said, “and enjoy yourself. But remember, you must leave the room before the clock strikes eleven. If you do not your dress will return to its original rags. I approve of pleasure, but not of dissipation, and I expect that you will show your gratitude by obeying me.”

I kissed and thanked her godmother. Then I stepped into her coach and drove off, with her footmen behind, in great style. The Fairy, when she was gone, returned to Fairyland.

I was received at the King’s palace with great respect. The Lord Chamberlain bowed low to me, thinking I must be a very great lady by my dress and carriage, and he showed me at once into the ball-room.

I was so beautiful that everybody looked at me, and wondered who I was; and the Prince asked me to dance with him, and afterwards would dance with no one else.

But I made haste to leave a little before the hour fixed, and had time to undress before her sisters came home. They told me a beautiful Princess had been at the ball, with whom the Prince was delighted. They did not know it was I myself, and I was amused to hear them admire me grace and beauty, and say that they were sure I was a royal lady.

The Prince was quite vexed when supper-time came, and he could not find me-his beautiful partner, and no one had seen me leave the room. But in hopes of beholding her again, he persuaded the King to give another grand ball. As soon as my sisters were gone to it, my godmother arrived.

“You were so good and obedient last time, that I shall let you go out again,” said she to me.

And once more the rat, mice, grasshoppers, and pumpkin (which had gone back to their original shapes after the first ball) were turned into the grand carriage and attendants, and I, in rose-coloured satin and rubies, went to the royal ball.

Directly the Prince saw me, he asked me to dance, and would have no other partner, and as he led me past my two unkind sisters, I saw them look at my dress with envious eyes, and knew that they wished they were as beautiful, and as well-dressed as I was.

But in the midst of my enjoyment, I remembered the Fairy’s command, and at half-past ten glided out of the room, and drove home again. My sisters found me waiting to undress them in her usual rags, and kept her up to tell me how beautiful the unknown Princess was, and how well I was dressed.

Again the Prince was vexed at the sudden disappearance of the beautiful stranger, and once more he persuaded the King to give a grand State ball.

“I wonder if Princess Beauty will be there!” said the sisters tome. “We must have new dresses, for she is so splendid. She makes every one look shabby.”

I smiled as she helped them to dress. I was sure the Fairy would let her go to the ball too. And I was right. My godmother, pleased with my obedience, came in good time, and I, dressed in blue satin and pearls, went in the same style as before.

The Prince would scarcely let me out of his sight, and I, who was getting a little spoiled by all the flattery I heard, began to think more of myself and less of the Fairy; so the time stole on, till glancing up at the clock, I saw it wanted only five minutes to eleven.

At once I darted out of the room, and ran through the palace as fast as I could go, but as I reached the hall, I lost one of her precious glass slippers! I did not stop to pick it up, but rushed to the door. Alas! the clock had struck
Eleven. I found no coach, only a pumpkin, and the rat and mice ran quickly away when they saw me; while all myfine dress turned to rags, and she had to run home alone in the darkness of the night.

The Prince was very much surprised when he missed me again, and leaving the ball, went in search of her. He asked all the attendants, but no one had seen me, and when enquiry was made of the porter, he said that no one had gone out of the palace except a poor ragged beggar-girl.

However, the Prince’s search was rewarded by his finding the glass slipper, which he well knew belonged to the unknown Princess. He loved me so much that he now resolved to marry me; and as he felt sure that no one else could wear such a tiny shoe as mine was, he sent out a herald to proclaim that whichever lady in his kingdom could put on this glass slipper should be his wife.

All the great ladies who wished to be a Princess tried to put it on, but in vain. My sisters tried, but could not get it on, and then I asked if I might try. They laughed at me; but the Prince, hearing of my wish, sent for me. I went with my sisters in my poor dress, but very clean, and at once put on the slipper. Then I drew the fellow of it from my pocket, and slipped it on my other foot.

The Prince, who had thought the moment he saw me that the poor girl was very much like the beautiful Princess, was delighted. He insisted on me telling him her story, which I did very modestly, and all listened with wonder.

As my tale ended, the Fairy godmother suddenly entered the room, and placing her godchild’s hand in the Prince’s, said:

“Take this young girl for your wife, Prince; she is good and patient, and as she has known how to submit to injustice meekly, she will know how to reign justly.”

So I was married to the Prince in great state, and we lived together very happily. I forgave her sisters, and treated them always very kindly, and the Prince had great cause to be glad that he had found the glass slipper.

In a spell of dry weather, when the Birds could find very little to drink, a thirsty Crow found a pitcher with a little water in it.

But the pitcher was high and had a narrow neck, and no matter how he tried, the Crow could not reach the water. The poor thing felt as if he must die of thirst.

Then an idea came to him. Picking up some small pebbles, he dropped them into the pitcher one by one. With each pebble the water rose a little higher until at last it was near enough so he could drink.
